Joyeux Anniversaire Marie Antoinette

Marie Antoinette was born on November 2, 1755 in Vienna Austria.

To celebrate this event I have made necklaces and bracelets from old glass, pearls and crystal beads and chandelier crystals. I imagined that Marie would wear these at her little country cottage on the grounds of Versailles, where she was free from the constraints of the royal court.

Please visit CupidsCharm to see how other people are celebrating the Dauphin's birthday.

I never knew that--her cottage is far lovelier than the castle where she ended up--but I imagine that's a matter of taste.

These jeweled creations are so inspiring! When I was a child we had a huge crystal chandelier above the dining table. When my mother wasn't looking, my sister and I would climb up, remove the crystal drops and links and try on our "jewels." Thanks for the memory.

You are such a multi-talented lady. Wowee! You need to be sending stuff in for publication so that more people can enjoy what you offer the world. I KNOW you can send stuff to Somerset (you'd be great in their Home magazine). I enjoy you more than Martha!
